Mark joined KMA as a Senior Architect in 2019, with a mission to expand and refine the firm’s design practice. He leads KMA’s residential design projects, helping clients with accessibility and aging-in-place renovations like accessory dwelling units, a specialty that continues to grow in demand.
Following his undergraduate education from Wesleyan University, Mark earned a Master of Architecture from Yale University. He began his professional career at Leers Weinzapfel in Boston before running his own practice for 20 years. After being a sole practitioner for so long, Mark values the collaborative environment and culture at KMA.
A self-described modernist who believes that program requirements must drive design decisions, Mark was an early adopter of digital modeling technology. One of his earliest contributions to KMA was spearheading a seamless transition to Revit design software.
Mark speaks English, Italian, French, and a little Portuguese – mostly learned through periods living abroad. When he is not traveling or tinkering with Revit, you can find him running, cycling, skiing, diving, or golfing.
