Aida joined KMA in 2020. As an Associate, she primarily lends her expertise to projects involving public and commercial buildings, K-12 schools, colleges and universities, cultural facilities, and landscape design. Aida also works closely with the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance for the State of Massachusetts, providing accessibility compliance and inclusive design reviews, resource guides, and training for capital project managers and the architects with whom they work.
Originally from Spain, Aida holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Seville. After graduation, she gained experience in the field of accessibility by participating in architectural competitions and by working in firms focused on inclusive design in Paris and Morocco. Aida brings these international perspectives to her work at KMA, contributing to the diversity of the firm’s overall approach to accessibility and inclusive design.
She is passionate about Universal Design principles, adding depth and meaning to her academic background, and professional development in architecture. In her day-to-day responsibilities, she is fueled by client interactions and enjoys being onsite identifying barriers to accessibility.
Aida speaks five languages and finds inspiration in the streets of Paris.
