David Kessler and Josh Safdie were honored to serve on the task force advising Massport on this initiative. The Boston Globe article explains that “passengers with disabilities, such as the blind, deaf, and those with other physical and cognitive handicaps, will be able to declare themselves disabled on the Uber and Lyft apps when they request a ride, Mehigan said. Such “self-identification,” she said, will allow drivers to avoid the pickup and dropoff restrictions.”
