Alta Farms at Cane Ridge

Wood Partners is one of the largest multifamily real estate developers in the country and one of KMA’s largest, long-standing clients. While they are a national corporation, they organize regionally, working with local architecture firms to intentionally design projects and amenities that reflect the areas they serve. Over the past 18 years, KMA has worked collaboratively with Wood Partners on 180 projects across 14 regional offices. 

Alta Farms is a complex of garden-style buildings spread out over a quarter mile of hilly and well-manicured natural landscape. The site features several unique amenities, including a community garden, walking trail, converted historic barn, and clubhouse with a kitchen, accessible showers, and a pool. KMA was tasked with reviewing design and construction plans to ensure the project was accessible, as well as performing site walks during construction. The hilly nature of the site required careful attention to running slopes and cross slopes, in addition to door maneuvering clearances at building entrances.
